Thank Gov. Napolitano for supporting clean cars

Here in Arizona our rapidly increasing population has led to thousands of new cars on our roads. We have all felt the effects, from irksome waits in traffic to more troubling problems: a growing brown cloud over Phoenix; more smog days; and public pleas to car pool and make sacrifices to reduce air pollution.

Smog is a major threat to public health—linked to asthma attacks and other respiratory illnesses. And the more cars we have, the more smog we'll see.

Please thank Governor Napolitano for her efforts to clean Arizona's air and to encourage her to take the necessary steps to bring the Clean Cars Program to Arizona so we can further reduce our state’s air pollution, protect public health and save consumers money at the pump.

Dear Governor,
 
Thank you for your Executive Order to adopt and implement the Clean Cars Program in Arizona.  I urge you to quickly move forward with the necessary next steps to bring cleaner cars to our roads.
 
As you know, Arizonans are already feeling the impacts of population growth including longer waits in traffic; a brown cloud more visibly and regularly over Phoenix; and increased smog days along with pleas to car pool and make other sacrifices to reduce air pollution.
 
By establishing the Clean Cars Program, we can reduce our state's air pollution, protect public health and save consumers money at the pump.  Please move the Clean Cars Program forward in Arizona.
